Matt Smith, writer
I’m a fitness writer and online coach from London, now living in Nottingham (think Robin Hood). I was a personal trainer in London for 7 years and helped hundreds of clients to lose weight and build muscle. My main loves are bench pressing (even though I’m rubbish), beer, and ranting about problems in the fitness industry. I spend some time writing about all of these subjects on my website Beer N Biceps and I also have a Facebook group of the same name.

Why BroScience was started
It all started in 2014, right when the fitness industry had started to blow up. As we had been working in the fitness industry for many years prior to that, it was nice to see that more and more people were joining our culture.
But there was one very alarming thing.
More and more scammers were starting to take advantage of this trend.
Risky supplement companies, ridiculous new diets, and large companies manipulating their customers were becoming a normal thing.
It was scary.
More and more of my clients were falling for these scams.
I decided we had to do something…
I gathered some of the most experienced and intelligent lifters together to form a safe place.
A place that would use intelligent research to fact check whether new supplements actually made any difference to your bottom-line, whether new diets or training routines actually worked.
This resulted in BroScience being established.
Our goal is to combine experience and expertise into one.
We cut through the bullshit, and only present you with information that we know to be true, because we have tried it ourselves as well as researched the subject significantly.
What is BroScience
For us Broscience means friendship. It means a friend helping another friend with whatever they’re dealing with.
Men need to stand together and help each other out. If something has worked for me, chances are it will work for you.
It is therefore my (and your) duty to share it with you.
