Fact Checked

There are a lot of clean-looking supplements out there that actually contain substances that can get you in trouble. I’m talking about ingredients that may look harmless, but are actually banned by FDA either from being sold or from being used in competition.

This is why I was highly fearful of what I would see in reviewing TLM Research Meth Lab pre workout. I mean, with a name like that you would definitely expect something dangerous in there, right? Like, why would they name it like that in the first place?

Anyway, upon initial label analysis, I don’t see anything harmful or dangerous about it, but we’ll see once we get a deeper look in my TLM Research Meth Lab pre workout review.

About TLM Research Meth Lab pre workout

TLM Research is a Connecticut-based company that not only sells supplements, but also apparel and even workout programs. They also sell gym stacks for the user who doesn’t like to think much when it comes to building their own. On their website, they state that they are willing to refund any supplement if it’s damaged upon delivery or if you are unsatisfied with the product.

  • Transparent formula. I like seeing everything I’m about to review.
  • Short stack. Oftentimes it’s the simpler formulas that get you the most for your money.
  • Staying traditional. None of the herbs and exotics we’ve seen in recent reviews.
  • Creatine dosage. They offer 5 whole grams, bro!
  • No Crash. This is a tough claim to make, so I’ll see if this claim is true or for marketing only.

TLM Research Meth Lab pre workout Review: ingredients list

TLM Research Meth Lab pre workout ingredients review

I’ll sound biased in my TLM Research Meth Lab pre workout review, but I’m actually really all for supplements that have high-dose serving sizes matched with a short pre workout formula. It’s the best kind of combination in the supplement industry and I’m glad to see it in TLM Research Meth Lab pre workout.

I also like the fact that TLM Research Meth Lab pre workout has no fancy blend names. It saves me the trouble of trying to interpret the purpose of each ingredient and their possible synergies.

  • Comes in the most studied form of creatine monohydrate, this form of creatine is known to give your performance a huge boost, speed up muscle recovery, and help you get massive gains. We also have it at a huge dose of 5 grams.
  • Beta alanine. This ingredient is known to help with raw strength as well as delay fatigue by means of increasing muscle endurance. It has an itching side effect, but it’s nothing compared to the benefits you’ll gain. At 2 grams, it’s not bad but it could have been better.
  • Beetroot Powder. Beet root powder works on your pumps as it helps the body produce nitric oxide. More nitric oxide means better vasodilation and pump feel. More pump feel means more iron lifted. I prefer citrulline over beetroot, though. The dosage is also a bit smaller than I’d expect from a beetroot powder.
  • Taurine is the second most popular ingredient in energy drinks right after caffeine. It helps improve exercise endurance, delay fatigue, and even do your body good by fighting cell oxidation and managing cholesterol levels. At 1.1 grams, I say we have a good dose here.
  • Oh wow. 350 mg of pure caffeinated energy. That’s a shotgun to the face if I ever saw one. This is 100 mg too high for me, bro.
  • It’s the very stimulant that comes from chocolate. In supplements, theobromine is supposed to be a safer less “crash and jitters” alternative to caffeine. It has this anti-caffeine effect, but not as strong as theanine.
  • An ingredient used to treat asthma, higenamine has also been used for fat burning although it’s not exactly good at that function. It works like synephrine, but at a weaker potency.

TLM Research Meth Lab pre workout Review: formula analysis

TLM Research Meth Lab pre workout knows what’s it doing and they have the right kind of ingredients to show for it. What impressed me initially was the fact that despite the product name, TLM Research Meth Lab pre workout doesn’t have anything you can consider as a banned substance. I mean, with a name like METH Lab, you would expect something controversial in the mix.

Based on the dosing of each ingredient, I can confidently say TLM Research Meth Lab pre workout is a supplement that focuses on performance and reducing fatigue more than any other function.

The 5 gram dose of creatine monohydrate is really worthy of praise as the most dosage you see of this powerful ergogenic is usually less than 3 grams. The only problem you might encounter with this dosage is the bloating sensation, so make sure you give your belly some time to absorb the powder before lifting or you might end up puking on the gym floor.

Working in synergy is beta alanine and beetroot powder. Beta alanine serves to improve stamina and muscle endurance allowing for more reps within each set. Beetroot then explodes into the scene with its nitric oxide-boosting properties. Despite the not-so-big doses, I can see these two working efficiently when a hefty dose of creatine is provided. Although, I’d really prefer citrulline malate over plain old beetroot powder.

The Taurine + Caffeine stack never fails. Taurine helps generate added endurance as well as work together with caffeine to boost overall energy to new heights. At 1.1 grams and 350 mg respectively, you will not be short of energy for sure. I think you may end up having too much energy, actually.

To soften the blow of caffeine is theobromine which provides a softer yet sustainable energy which can act as a means to prevent the crash associated with heavy caffeine doses.

Rounding it all up is 60 mg of higenamine which I think is redundant given that TLM Research Meth Lab pre workout already has boatloads of energy. Adding 60 mg of a softer version of synephrine won’t exactly provide any difference.

Writer’s note: I’d just like to point out that TLM Research Meth Lab pre workout makes use of cane sugar, giving a natural sweetness to each serving using 1.5 grams. If you’re not a fan of sugar-based flavoring, this may turn you off.

So, does TLM Research Meth Lab pre workout work?

TLM Research Meth Lab pre workout does what it claims to do for performance, energy, and endurance. I’m a bit on the fence with the pump since beetroot powder is not the best ingredient for that especially with that dosage.

Does TLM Research Meth Lab pre workout have a lot of caffeine?

The 350 mg caffeine in TLM Research Meth Lab pre workout is equivalent to more than three cups of brewed coffee. So yeah, that’s a lot of caffeine. If you find yourself buzzing with two shots espresso, this much caffeine is like twice that.

So, is TLM Research Meth Lab pre workout any good or just hype?

Broscience Verdict
D-Bal | Legal Dianabol Alternative

I think the hype around TLM Research Meth Lab pre workout is justified. I don’t see a lot of problems with the product and they actually tried to give each ingredient good doses.

Benefits and side effects

The 5 grams creatine will do your muscles good, bro. Granted creatine is best as a post-workout ingredient, its performance-boosting properties can elevate your training to new heights. Pair that with a synergy of beta alanine and beetroot and it’s tough to say how far TLM Research Meth Lab pre workout can take you.

TLM Research Meth Lab pre workout is made for bros looking to go back to the basics without sacrificing dosage. It’s also especially designed for users who want the amount of caffeine that just punches them in the face.

Beta alanine’s itching is a given, but at that dosage it shouldn’t be much of a concern. The creatine monohydrate at 5 grams might give you a bad case of bloating, so I would recommend to not train right away to prevent any possible digestive discomfort. The big hitter is caffeine at 350 mg and with no real anti-caffeine, you might experience jitters, headaches, and a bad case of the crash.

The supplement is able to cater to the type of market looking for something simple yet potent, consumers who don’t like the idea of ingesting too many compounds and exotics in one serving.
