Bodybuilder Joey Swoll is on a mission to change toxic gym behavior, and in recent months he has been responding to toxic gym bullies on social media.
We have seen a lot of videos from the gym, and in some of those videos, we see something that classifies as toxic gym behavior.
Some people go to the gym and film others to belittle, embarrass, or make fun of them.
Joey Swoll believes everyone should feel welcome at the gym and that the gym should be a place everyone feels safe.
Unfortunately, this is not the case in many gyms. Joey Swoll has already responded to many gym bullies who post videos on the internet for likes and attention at the expense of innocent people trying to work out in peace at the gym.

The good news is that many gym bullies who posted the videos either took them down or apologized after Joey Swoll responded to them.
The videos Joey Swoll has posted have gotten millions of views. 99% of people who go to the gym are very good people who don’t have any toxic gym behavior; however, there are always some people who are bullies.
Recently a woman gym bully disrespected a lifter for simply asking if she was using the bench.
The woman replied: “Na, I just thought it would be a cute prop.”
Obviously, the lifter is frustrated by the response but calmly continues his workout; however, the woman accused him of calling her a f’in b**ch which the lifter didn’t do.

Joey Swoll responded to this video and gave his thoughts on the matter:
There is absolutely nothing wrong with asking somebody how many sets they have left, if they are using a machine or if they are using a bench like this man did. You where in between sets or you stepped away or you were setting your phone up to take a video and he wanted to use the bench to do a press over at the smith machine and he didn’t deserve your attitude, your sarcasm, to be made an example out of and he definitely he didn’t deserve for you to put words in his mouth for calling you an f’in B be which he didn’t. The gym is a shared space you have to respect others, even if this is a joke its not ok to do so at others expense for likes on social media, you need to do better, mind your own business.
