The world of sports is changing rapidly, and now we see transgender athletes being allowed to compete in many sports organizations.
For instance, in the Olympic weightlifting in Tokyo, we saw a transgender athlete being allowed to compete in the women’s division for the first time.
While this is great news for transgender athletes, not everyone agrees that this should be allowed.
The reason being is many people believe that transgender athletes have a competitive advantage over women.
Men are overall with stronger bodies, better lung capacity, and overall a more powerful body for sports.

However, most transgender athletes have to undergo hormone replacement therapy and sometimes be tested, so the testosterone levels are the same as normal women.
Even with all the hormone replacements therapy, transgender athletes still have a competitive advantage in women’s sports.
A solution for this would be having another category for transitioned athletes; everyone would be competing equally without any genetic advantages.
That, however, is not necessarily what the transgender athletes want to do, as they feel as they are a woman and should be able to compete against other women.
It’s up to the people who run the sports organizations to decide who should compete, and it seems like in recent years that we will probably see more transgender athletes compete in women’s sports in the future.

Before I transitioned when I was on a team, I could bench press over 300 lbs, I could deadlift the back end of a car, I could run 6 minute miles, going on hormone replacement therapy I cannot do those things anymore, Now I’m running like 9-minute miles instead of 6
That is a lie. There testosterone levels are still higher than women’s. They just have to stay below a certain number to be allowed to compete. But its still way above a woman’s levels usually
