Ego lifters use too heavy weights and perform the exercise with terrible form.

Ego lifters are constantly trying to lift heavier weights; even though the form might suffer, they don’t care about that.

With ego lifting comes injury risk, and you get less out of the exercise because you aren’t lifting with a full range of motion, and your body is forced to incorporate other muscle groups to lift the weights.
