Ronnie Coleman is known by any bodybuilding fan in the world.

Ronnie is arguably the biggest bodybuilder who has ever stepped on stage and he won the Mr. Olympia title 8 times during his bodybuilding career.

What is interesting about Ronnie is that he has a background in powerlifting, he was one of the strongest bodybuilders in the world.

He trained heavy and one of his most famous quotes is:

“Everybody wanna be a bodybuilder but nobody want to lift some heavy ass weights”

Fortunately there is footage from the days Ronnie was a competitive bodybuilder.

So here’s what Ronnie did for back and bicep training

  • Standing preacher curls
  • Bicep curls in the cable machine

What is interesting is that Ronnie lifts heavy for the back but doesn’t lift to heavy when he was training his biceps.

He also doesn’t over complicate the workout, he has some of the best exercises in the workout and he performs them with intensity.

Ronnie was also a heavy lifter unlike many professional bodybuilders today, Ronnie used to lift really heavy weights when working out.
