Phil Heath Arm Workout – How He Trains For Bigger Arms

Fact Checked

Phil Heath “The Gift” is the most successful bodybuilder in the last decade, having won seven consecutive Olympia titles ranging from 2011-2017.

Even though Phil Heath did not compete at the 2021 Mr. Olympia, he has still not announced his retirement from the sport.

That means that Phil might make another run to tie Ronnie Coleman and Lee Haney with 8 Olympia titles.

Phil is known in bodybuilding for his incredible physique; his arms, forearms, and shoulders are something no bodybuilder has matched.

Even though Phil has arguably the best arms in bodybuilding, it doesn’t just come from genetics.

Take The Quiz

To achieve this great size and look on the arms, Phil has trained them right.

So if you are going to use any workout routine on the arms, why not take the workout routine from the guy who has the best arms in bodybuilding.

Phil Heath Arm Workout

Phil does some conventional exercises in his arm workout; however, he does some of them with a twist.

Even though Phil has one of the best pairs of arms in bodybuilding, he usually starts training arms close to a show.

We don’t know the reasoning behind that; maybe he stimulates the arms enough in other compound movements and doesn’t have to dedicate a whole training session on the arms.

We can only speculate, but Phil Heath probably has his reasons that make sense, and if you think about it, he always shows up with superior arms than other competitors, so it’s working out fine for him.

  • Barbell curls with EZ bar 3 sets (6-8 half reps up to stomach height, 6-8 half reps from stomach and up, and 6 full reps)
  • Concentration Curls With Dumbbells 3 sets and 8-10 reps
  • Hammer Curls 3 sets and 10 reps
  • Preacher Curls 3 sets and 8-10 reps
  • Tricep Pushdown with straight bar 3 sets and 10-12 reps
  • Skull Crushers on incline bench 3 sets and 10 reps (finish off with a few close grip bench reps)
  • Dip Machine 3 sets and 15-20 reps

Phil’s insane arm workout is not for beginners, and he performs over 200 reps in his arm workout.
