Paul Dillett is a former competitive bodybuilder with one of the freakiest physiques we’ve seen on the Olympia Stage, which earned him the nickname “Freakenstein” and “Jurassic Paul.”

Paul earned his pro card in 1991, the year he got second in the North American Championships.

How Did Paul Dillett Start in Bodybuilding?
When asked about how he started in bodybuilding, Paul Explains:
I was just a big fan of wrestling, I have a huge fan of Tony Atlas, and Rocky Johnson (Dwayne Johnson’s dad). I just love how they looked and I wanted my older brother to get involved with lifting weights because I wanted him to look like them.
He was too lazy to do it so I said screw it I’m going to do it myself, to be honest, that’s really how I started and I started in a little elementary school gym.
After school I would get there in an hour for six months straight, it was nothing special either, it was a tiny little room, no windows, it’s in the basement, smells but as a kid I was just so happy to be there. The first year I started training I trained for 1-year straight not even one day off.

He trained twice per day and did the more significant body parts in the morning and more petite body parts like calves, arms lower back at night.
As the show gets closer, I ramp up my cardio, a 6am cardio, back in the gym by 11 o’clock training, another 45-minutes of cardio , comeback around 7 o’clock to train some small bodyparts and then do 45 minutes of cardio.
I did a lot of cardio I was one of the guys who would do 2-hours per day, a lot of guys say they lose muscle mass when doing cardio, I didn’t lose any muscle mass doing cardio.
