How did you get started with bodybuilding and training?
That story sounds pretty dramatic! Its very hard for me to tell my story with full honesty…
The first time I got a little bit interested in bodybuilding was when the Bikini fitness category started in Iceland in 2008 I think.
I thought the girls were so beautiful but at that time I was more interested in the supermodel look.
Ever since I was 14 years old I had bad eating habits.
I ate as little as I could and trained Taekwondo 3-4 hours a day.
Sometimes I got better for the sake of my family but I always fell back into those bad habits.
It was in the year 2011 when I was at my bottom.
I was 47 kg and starting to get heart problems.
Sometimes my heart would just stop for several seconds.
I was afraid for my life and decided to do something about it once and for all!
My fiancé who is a personal trainer dragged me to the gym and made a workout plan for me and he made sure I was eating enough. After only 2 weeks I was a little bit stronger and I felt better.
I focused on eating more and everything I ate was very clean and healthy. In mid summer I decided to compete!
My first contest was the IFBB Icelandic Cup in November 2011 where I got 3rd place!
After my first show I was hooked and today I have competed 6 times.
Where does your motivation come from?
My motivation comes from my family and friends.
