Joey Swoll is on a journey to stop gym toxicity and help people be more comfortable in the gym.
Many people don’t have gym experience and are scared to go to gyms because they are afraid they will be judged and made fun of.
The recent trend on Tik Tok is not helping at all; some gym-goers are now filming other people in the gym and making fun of them or criticizing them, then they post the video on social media for likes and attention.
Joey Swoll is the hero we need right now, and he is trying to stop this toxic gym behavior.
Joey has posted several videos on his tik tok where he responds to the gym bullies who belittle other people and make fun of people in the gym.

Most people in the gym are minding their own business and getting a great workout in.
However, among us are also gym bullies who make fun of other people; these videos they post discourage beginners from even trying to train in a gym.
It’s hard enough to be in bad shape and start in the gym; we don’t need toxic behavior in the gym.
Joey Swoll was shocked by a video he saw on Tik Tok, and he responded to a gym bully that was frustrated when an innocent gym goer walked in his camera view.
A guy was flexing his biceps and had his camera behind a dumbbell rack; when a gym goer went to get a pair of dumbbells from the rack, the gym influencer got mad and said, “WTF,” so the innocent gym-goer could hear him.

Joey Swoll addressed this video, and he thought this was not ok behavior in a public gym.
Wow, you got one thing right, you can’t make this stuff up because this is how bad it has gotten everyone, this is how toxic gym culture has become, how bad it is in gyms that people like this man think they have the rights to put their phone behind a dumbbell rack and film that space and if somebody walks by in a public gym they have the right to disrespect them and treat them poorly just like this. This is not ok and I see you all commenting this is not a gender thing, this is not a man vs woman thing, this is all of us. This needs to stop we all need to work together to change gym culture and to this young man in the video you need to apologize to that kid, you had no right to do that I suggest if you want to put fit in your name and be a leader in the fitness community start acting like one. Mind your own business, be better than that.
