Fact Checked

James Smith a fitness trainer and YouTuber has gained attention for his informational content and healthy mindset regarding achieving fitness goals.

James Smith isn’t afraid to call anyone out in the industry that he believes is not ethical when it comes down to sharing the right information with average people.

In a recent video, James Smith called out V-Shred for faking being on the Joe Rogan podcast.

Even though V-Shred who is a superstar in the industry known for his aggressive advertising online did not say he was on the Joe Rogan podcast he mimicked the setup in Joe Rogan’s studio using the iconic maroon-colored curtain and the same equipment as Joe Rogan has on his show.

It looked like V-Shred was a guest on Joe Rogan in the ad which could result in people believing he was on the Joe Rogan Podcast.

James Smith criticized V-Shred for doing this in his recent video and said:

Some of you might have seen a recent V-Shred ad up and thought hold on a minute. See that curtain down the back, that velvet maroon colored curtain, now curtains are used in rooms to dampen the echo of sound, it’s very good for audio. But the way he is trying to mimic the guest position on Joe Rogan, V-Shred you are a f-in knobhead”

James Smith also pointed out that V-Shred had put the same headset and microphone for the setup of this ad to try to appear as if he was a guest on the Joe Rogan podcast. James Smith continues:

“This is the lengths that people will go to, because these aren’t fitness professionals, these are marketing professionals. The lengths they will go to, to convince people of their gravitas or position in the industry, I’ll make one thing clear to you to some people that don’t realize this, people aren’t looking to build business they’re looking into building systems where if they can put 10 thousand dollars in advertising and make 11 they have won their system because then with that 11 thousand they reinvest it and make 12 and a half, and then over time it’s just a churning rate of getting people to click through rates on adverts to make money to then reinvest and make more money back and this company have made millions from doing so, moral of the story don’t be gullible.”

V-Shred has amassed fame and fortune in the fitness industry and has over 2 million subscribers on YouTube and over a million followers on Instagram.

You have probably seen some of the adverts from V-Shred which have been running on the biggest platforms for the last few years.

Greg Doucette has also criticized V-Shred for not sharing good information and copying Athlean-X and posting the content on his YouTube channel.

Greg also suggested V-Shred was deceiving customers with his marketing and making false promises to average people who buy his programs and products.
