Here at BroScience, we’re totally in support of people pushing them selves in the gym, truly working as hard as they can to achieve their goals… BUT, we DO NOT support the idiocy of EGO-LIFTERS in the gym!!! Maybe they do it to make themselves feel better or just to try and impress others maybe??
People are driven by ego’s all the time… For example, you’re out at an all you can eat buffet with your friends, and there’s always that one guy that will go for a third or even fourth plate of food even though they’re full, just because they like the attention and want show off how much they can eat. In this scenario the worst thing that can happen is that they have some stomach ache.
But being driven by your ego in the gym, putting an extra plate, or in this guy’s case, about 20 plates more than you can really handle, is just plain DANGEROUS!!! They can do themselves some serious damage that could be with the for a lifetime! So for the love of god… We beg you to not be that guy! Train smart, Train safe, and make gains on gains on gain!!!
