Z-Core PM by MusclePharm is a testosterone booster in capsule form that works to support testosterone production and improve sleep.
It contains the ZMA blend (Zinc Monomethionine Aspartate, Magnesium Aspartate, and Vitamin B6) as well as fenugreek, Melatonin, and copper.
This supplement is reasonably priced and contains ingredients that will support natural testosterone production and improve sleep.
Here’s what we are going to do:
In this Z-Core PM review, I will tell you guys everything you need to know about this supplement.
Many of you don’t know that I used to buy almost every supplement that promised good results.
This is the worst part:
I wasted A LOT of money on supplements that didn’t work.
What I found out the hard way is that many supplement companies market their supplements incorrectly.
That’s why I am writing these supplement reviews to help you guys get a better understanding of what supplements you are buying.
I use a scientific approach in my reviews, so you will know exactly how each ingredient in Z-Core PM will affect your body.
So if you have been planning on buying Z-Core PM read this review, you will get the exact information you need.
Z-Core PM by MusclePharm – Who Is It For?
When making this Z-Core PM review, I found it very important to identify who the product is for.
One thing is for sure this supplement is not for everybody.
Z-Core PM might work for those who have trouble sleeping and want to sleep better at night.
This supplement will improve sleep and support natural testosterone production if that’s what you are looking for, then this may be the right supplement for you.
Z-Core PM may not be the best choice if you have no issues with sleep, and your goal is solely to increase testosterone.
Well, of course, you could use it, all I’m saying it’s not the best supplement available for increasing testosterone levels.
Here’s the kicker:
If you have no trouble with sleep, Z-Core PM might make you feel sleepy during the day because it contains Melatonin.
If you are looking for a testosterone booster that will help you to gain more muscle, increase strength, and reduce body fat, then Z-Core PM would never be my go-to product.
How Does This Testosterone Booster Work?
While some testosterone boosters are designed to help promote better workout performance while they enhance sleep, Z-Core PM takes another approach.
Here’s what’s interesting:
This testosterone booster’s primary mission is to help you get a better night’s sleep, all while stimulating the natural release of this robust growth hormone.
Since sleep is the primary time the body increases natural testosterone production, if you can optimize this, you will optimize your results.
Muscle Pharm, the makers of Z-Core PM, is a very well known and respectable company, which lends well to giving this product the credibility you may want in any testosterone booster.
How does it stack up?
Let’s look at the facts you need to know in this Z-Core PM review.
Z-Core PM Ingredients
Let’s go over the checklist of ingredients to look for in a testosterone booster and see how many of them Z-Core PM contains.
- D-Aspartic Acid
- Vitamin B6
- Vitamin D-3
- Vitamin K-1
Z-Core PM contains 5 out of the 10 top testosterone boosting ingredients, which is decent however I have to say that many of these ingredients are not properly dosed which is unfortunate.
Before making this Z-Core PM Review, I discovered something:
When looking at the ingredients in this product, you see a refreshing change of pace: almost no proprietary blend! There is one small proprietary blend in this supplement, but no more than that.
This means that you know exactly what you are putting into your body with each dose you take.
The main ingredients you’ll find in Z-Core PM are:
A critical mineral that is required for testosterone production, zinc, also acts as an antioxidant in the body and could help to ward off exercise-related oxidative damage, helping you get stronger faster.
This is what’s interesting:
Men who have low levels of zinc and start supplementation also notice increased testosterone release, as was noted in one study published in the Nutrition journal.
Another mineral that is required by the body, magnesium, helps to regulate blood pressure and, in some situations, may also boost natural testosterone levels.
It’s also crucial for regulating the muscle contraction and relaxation cycle, so it will be critical in helping you sustain those intense workout sessions.
An exciting addition to this ingredient line-up.
I’ve noticed that:
Copper is one not often seen in testosterone boosting products.
However, the company claims it may help to work in conjunction with zinc to elevate testosterone levels.
Interestingly, one study published in the Biological Trace Element Research journal noted it’s more about the copper to zinc ratio in regards to testosterone levels than it is to copper levels alone.
One of the most common herbal ingredients found in testosterone boosters, there is not a lot of evidence that fenugreek will help to enhance muscle mass building or strength gains.
The best part is:
It does tend to help regulate your libido and may boost sexual performance.
Finally, to assist with sleep, you’ll get 3mg of Melatonin. Please take note that this is quite a strong dose, so some may find they are quite sleepy while using this product. Melatonin is naturally produced in the body and helps regulate the sleep-wake cycle.
Here’s how it works:
By using this, you should fall asleep faster than without, getting more of the quality shut-eye that you need.
It’s a decent product with no proprietary blend included, which is excellent. However, it was missing some of our favorite testosterone boosting ingredients and did not make it to our top 10 list for testosterone boosters.
So how is Z-Core different from the traditional ZMA blend?
Z-Core PM Vs. ZMA
Z-Core does contain the ZMA blend with added ingredients (copper, fenugreek, and Melatonin)
- Is a natural based product
- Will help increase total sleep time
- Will help you fall asleep faster
- Can help to elevate testosterone levels if you are low in zinc
- May help build stronger bones thanks to the inclusion of magnesium
- Could help regulate blood pressure
- Should boost sexual performance and/or libido levels
- Is not a proprietary blend
- Could result in feeling groggy the next day after use
- May cause you to feel lethargic due to the Melatonin, making it harder to exercise with intensity
- Is overall quite basic and lacks some of the other ingredients other testosterone boosters have
- Doesn’t contain any ingredients to help increase gym performance
- Missing some key ingredients
Z-Core PM Reviews From Users:
I found some reviews online from users that are already on Z-Core PM.
Some of them had some really interesting things to say:
One user improved his sleep but didn’t feel that it helped him perform better at the gym:
I haven’t seen anything regarding test increases or any difference in the gym, but it puts me to sleep, gives me crazy dreams, and helps me sleep well throughout the night. It also seems to increase my libido a bit
This user also noticed that his sleep got better for using this product:
I got this for free and tried it. It did make me sleep better and not move around as much in my sleep. I had more energy when I woke up. would i buy it? probably not.
This individual says it helped him fall asleep.
Ok product. I work night shift and it puts you to sleep, but doesn’t help keep you asleep. I haven’t noticed any other results.
So overall Z-Core PM gets pretty good reviews from users.
However, there is a concern that this supplement is more of a testosterone supporter with added Melatonin to improve sleep quality without increasing testosterone levels.
This is what I noticed:
As I skimmed through reviews, online people didn’t seem to notice the increase in testosterone levels.
This is a concern for those who are buying this product to use as a testosterone booster.
The Verdict – Does Z-Core PM work?
All in all, as a basic sleep aid and little testosterone booster, Z-Core PM is not a wrong choice. It’s nice that you do know precisely what you are getting, which is crucial because it does contain Melatonin.
This is what I think:
This product would be better if there were no melatonin, and you could add this separately, however, as then you could dose the Melatonin to whatever you needed.
Because some people may find they just become too sleepy while using this product, it could be a hard one to take on an ongoing basis.
If you do tolerate Melatonin quite well, however, then you may find that this product does help give you a slight edge and improve your workout performance, build more muscle mass, and increase your libido.
Here we answer the questions you might have after reading this Z-Core PM review.
Z-Core PM Side Effects – Potential side effects
Z-Core PM can come with unwanted side effects.
Now that you see the ingredients you’ll get with Z-Core PM, what side effects can you expect?
Overall, as the product consists primarily of natural minerals, you won’t see many side effects at all.
Fenugreek is also very well tolerated by most people, so it too won’t lead to any issues.
The biggest potential problem is the inclusion of a high dose of Melatonin.
For most people, this may be a bit too much and may lead you to feel slightly groggy or ‘out of it’ the next day. Some may find this so strong they have to discontinue the product. While you could always half your dose, the problem then becomes you may not get enough of the other ingredients to reap the benefits you want to see.
Where To Buy Z-Core PM?
You can purchase Z-Core PM from almost any major supplement retailer for around $15 for a 60 capsule bottle.
Z-Core PM is available at Amazon, GNC, and bodybuilding.com.
This should last you 1-2 months, depending on if you take 1 or 2 capsules per day. Overall, this makes this a handy product.
How To Take Z-Core PM ?
For best results, you should take 1-2 capsules of Z-Core PM about 30-60 minutes before going to bed. This supplement is best taken on an empty stomach whenever possible.
What’s Better Than Z-Core PM ?
Z-Core Pm is a decent product. However, it does not contain all of our favorite testosterone, boosting ingredients, and therefore we believe there are some better options available.
