Phil Heath has not competed for two years in bodybuilding, but he has never officially retired from the sport.

At 42 years old, we can’t rule out a comeback for Phil Heath to win his eighth Mr. Olympia title and tie Ronnie Coleman and Lee Haney for most Olympia victories.

Phil Heath will also not compete in the 2022 Mr. Olympia as he has announced on his Instagram page that he will be commentating on the show.

In his career as a bodybuilder, Phil experienced some backlashes, especially as he had a hernia which seriously set his physique back.

To fix that issue, Phil had to have surgery which was successful, and now nothing seems to be standing in his way to competing and attempting to win the title for the eight times.

Phil has not officially retired from competitive bodybuilding, and fans want to see him compete again.

However, Phil is aging, he isn’t considered a young bodybuilder anymore, but he is not that old either; we have seen guys compete at the Olympia in their 50s with good results, such as bodybuilder Dexter Jackson.

Phil Heath’s rivalry with bodybuilder Kai Greene was one of the greatest rivalries in bodybuilding history, and the dream scenario for bodybuilding fans would be if both of them made a comeback to Olympia before they got too old.

Phil Heath Trains Arms With Will Tennyson

In recent training footage from fitness YouTuber Will Tennyson, Phil Heath is still in great shape.

Will Tennyson has become famous in the fitness industry through his YouTube channel, where he posts fitness-related content.

In the video, we see that Will measures Phil Heath’s arms and forearms circumference, and they measured in at 20.75 inches and 15.5 inches.

Even though these are big numbers, this is not the biggest we have seen Phil Heath, as he has been recorded to have 23-inch arms in the past.

We cut Phil some slack as he is still huge and isn’t even competing at Mr. Olympia in 2022.

In the workout, Phil Heath takes Will through his Olympia arm workout.

The kind of arm workout Phil used to do when preparing for the Mr. Olympia contest.

Here’s the arm workout Phil Heath took Will Tennyson through; keep in mind Phil gave Will excellent pointers throughout the workout, ensuring max efficiency and results.

Phil Heath explained why he always starts with triceps in his arm workouts.

A lot of guys when they think of arms , let me see the biceps. Typically the tricep is about 2/3 of the arm so we want to start off with that.

  • Tricep Extension
  • Reverse grip tricep extension
  • Dumbbell bicep curls
  • Dumbbell skull crushers
  • Standing concentration curls
