Mike O’Hearn is a seasoned veteran in the fitness scene and has accomplished a lot as a competitive bodybuilder, powerlifter, fitness model, entrepreneur, and influencer.
Mike, who is now 53-years old, continues to impress his fans with incredible strength and an amazing physique.
The veteran athlete is one of the most knowledgeable guys when it comes down to training and dieting.
Mike O’Hearn, who has never used steroids in his life, has achieved an amazing physique naturally, and he can do this by training his body the right way.
Mike has already established himself as a champion bodybuilder as he holds four Mr. Universe titles in the natural division.
Even though it has been years since Mike competed, he seems to look better now than he was young.
In a recent video, Mike goes over his strategy to cut down on his diet, and he doesn’t use the same approach as most fitness guys in the game today.
Mike wants to train his metabolism to work the same as when he was 20-years old, and he doesn’t start cutting until he feels his body is ready for the cut.
Mike doesn’t want to force the body into a cut when the body isn’t ready, and that is one of his secrets to his longevity.
Your body has to tell you when, you don’t get to tell your body and so thats a hard thing for you guys to go : “ok I gotta get ready for the summer” somebody messaged me, great go for the summer but again summer, sundays, mondays none of that is relative to me because at the end of the day it’s my body at the right time, working the right way will allow me to continue to live the life I am doing so it’s never for the show, i’ll come in the best I can for the show, if I win it great but at the end of the day it’s not that it’s about how well the body is functioning even more so in today’s society, in today’s world where everybody wants to be a millionaire for a day and then lose it. Every fitness guy out there right now just wants to be a millionaire for a day, spend it all and thats it. It’s obviously a metaphor for guys that want it fast. You go out and get on a tons of sh*t and you get jacked up bigger than me then I’ve ever been, stronger than everybody and then you get off it and you lose everything or try to stay on it and you are going to lose everything plus your life. The point is the money is kind of like the metaphor for doing this right, it’s going to take us a while to make that million but keep it, put it away, that bone density, we are strong and it’s great thats put away, that metabolism functioning correctly great, now put it away we get to save that and live off of that. So these are the foundational stuff I try keep telling you guys that you don’t get to pick the date, your body tells you when its ready and if you force it and if you cheat it, you are not going to be able to keep it.
