Lee Priest is an Australian bodybuilder that competed at the highest level in bodybuilding in his competitive career.
Lee used to compete in the most prestigious bodybuilding contest in the world, Mr. Olympia, and even though he didn’t win it, he is still remembered for his incredible physique.
Lee competed over 50 times in his competitive career, and his last show was in 2013, where he won the NABBA Mr. Universe.
Lee started training at a young age, and as a teenager, he was already huge; even before he ever used steroids, Lee Priest had a proper physique and competed in bodybuilding.
He wasn’t only a great bodybuilder; he was also powerful, as Lee explains how much weight he lifted in the bench press when he was only 17 years old.

When I was younger, I used to do 5 plates and a little over when I was 17 or 18 and I only weighed like 72 kgs ( 159 lbs) and I was benching 500 lbs.
Lee explains that he could have been a powerlifting record holder with those numbers, but back in the day, powerlifting wasn’t a big thing, and it didn’t interest him. Instead, he was only interested in bodybuilding as a young man, which he focused on.
Lee Priest also squatted 6-7 plates at that age, so he was incredibly strong for his age.
When Lee Priest was training, powerlifting wasn’t a big thing; even though Lee managed to lift some heavyweights, he never felt like he wanted to participate in a powerlifting event.
It’s incredible how strong Lee was as a teenager; at 17 -years old, when he was natural, he was lifting weights guys training for over 10-years can’t even come close to.
