It’s time for us to take a look at Devin Physique’s supplement range, a fairly well-known brand, so welcome to the broscience HPN Supplements review.
Yes, we are putting another product line under the scope.
Why?
Because I want to make sure that anything you spend your hard earned cash on is going to be worthwhile.
Every gym rat has been there.
All too often people will spend money on a brand all because they recognise the face of it, then sometimes the products don’t do what they claim.
Then you feel ripped off.
But it doesn’t have to be that way!
Nope.
So sit back and read up on this HPN Supplements review, I have done the hard work for you and by the end of this review, you will know exactly how I feel.
And more importantly, whether they work or not.
Who are HPN Supplements?
High Performance Nutrition (HPN) Supplements were founded in 2010, fronted by famous fitness model Devin Physique Zimmerman.
He’s a very well known insta famous fitness model.
Admittedly, he has had his fair share of controversies in the past, but he is in pretty good shape and has a large online following.
HPN itself is an online company that offers supplements for people who want to lose weight, boost testosterone, build muscle and burn fat.
Offering high quality ingredients and detailed information on each of their products, the company is well-respected and aims to provide products to enhance your health.
Interesting.
For this HPN Supplements review, I wanted to know more about the man at the front of it all.
Who, what, when?
There are a lot of questions to ask and a lot can be answered by looking at the face of a supplement company.
It can answer concerns about integrity, target market and much more.
My research brought me to one man and his name is Devin Physique.
Let’s get down to business.
Who is Devin Physique?
Devin Physique’s real name is Devin Zimmerman.
Devin is a fitness model, an influencer and an online coach for lots of gym guys and girls.
This man has been under a lot of scrutiny over the past couple of years but still has a large Instagram following.
Maybe it’s true when they say there is no such thing as bad publicity.
A lot of people called Devin out when he was busted for photoshopping his pictures to make himself look better.
Yes, you read that correctly.
People were upset that a fitness model was using photoshop.
Devin Physique – Scam Artist?
To call Devin Physique out on using photoshop, when he is a model, is a tad nuts.
Take it from me.
Nigh on everybody in the modeling industry uses photoshop to an extent, whether you agree with it or not.
It is somewhat unfair to scapegoat one person, when almost everybody is doing it.
But in some ways it shows that perhaps the supplements he is promoting are not as powerful as he makes them out to be.
There’s more.
One other thing that came to the surface was the fact that he was not really the person mailing his clients who were paying for his coaching and guidance.
Let me say that again.
Yes the man was busy and he had a secretary help him with his work.
The information is out there and you can make up your own mind on things.
Needless for me to say anymore!
Who are HPN Supplements for?
HPN Supplements are aimed at people who train hard and want to get the most out of their training.
Their full range of products claim to be legal, so you should pass any drug tests with no problems.
That is, if you are planning to compete etc.
Too many products get spiked with crappy fillers or illegal amounts of ingredients.
Can HPN pass the test here? They have a long range of products so I chose the most popular ones to check out.
It would take a life time to discuss the full range in one article.
What Are the HPN Supplements Products?
I will start by letting you know that HPN Supplements do all the usual stuff.
Fat burners, proteins, creatines, aminos, vitamins, T-boosters, pre-workouts etc.
You get the drift.
So for a fair HPN Supplements review, I chose the best sellers and most popular products and put them to the test.
Pro(Zero) Premium Protein
First on our list is touted as a premium grade non-animal sourced protein, which is powerful and natural.
Packed with 20 g of protein per serving and 27 vitamins and minerals, it’s only 100 calories per serving too.
Want the really good news?
There appears to be no artificial colours, flavors or sweeteners in here.
The nutrients in here will help you refeed after a workout. After you break down your metabolic functions, you need protein to rebuild them.
From our closer inspection:
It mixes well and is a great addition to milkshakes or smoothies. In here you get decent amounts of BCAAs, organic brown rice and pea proteins.
I will be honest though.
I prefer other protein sources, as there are much better qualities available out there.
But:
If you are vegan, then this is great for you.
T(5) Testosterone
Next up in our HPN Supplements review we have this popular testosterone booster.
Is it the future on natural testosterone boosting?
Before we start, I need to say this:
There are A LOT of ingredients in this product, so I am just going to mention the main components and give you an overview.
It has so many patents going on, the normal reader is going to be a tad perplexed by all of the information to take in such as:
- Testofen for “Lean Mass Activation”
- LJ100 for “Free Test Elevation”.
- “Absorption and Health Optimization” etc etc.
I will give them credit here, they certainly know how to ‘wow’ people with words.
That’s for sure.
But can they ‘wow’ us with ingredients?
After you clear the midst of clever wording, you pretty much have a Fenugreek product.1
This could potentially aid the production of natural testosterone if you train hard on a regular basis.
The other standout ingredient here is bioperine – a black pepper extract that can help with absorption of other ingredients.
Yes, these are ingredients we like to see in a T-booster. But there are plenty of proven ingredients that are missing such as d-aspartic acid, which would make it one of the top T-boosters.
So not the best in my opinion.
Now let us get to the main one we’ve been curious about.
Pa(7) Mediator mTOR Elevation
There are a lot of Pa7 reviews out there.
Why?
I am not quite sure, I presume it is one of their most pushed products OR one of their best sellers.
Or perhaps both?
The main ingredient in Pa7 is the phosphatidic acid.
The serving size is pretty big at five capsules per day. You get 24 servings in a bottle for $54 USD.
That might sound pricey but hear me out.
There are a lot of studies to back up the potency and power of phosphatidic acid.2
You may be wondering what it is?
Phosphatidic acid is something that can increase protein synthesis by triggering the mammalian target of rapamycin or mTor.
Let me explain:
When this pathway is activated it can open up a whole new world.
A world of increased ‘grow’ signals to your muscles.
As far as we know.
That makes the other Pa7 Mediator Reviews legit. The evidence is there.
So bro’s making to look some serious gains should probably consider giving this one a try.
Plus you shouldn’t suffer from any pa7 supplement side effects.
P(3) Preworkout
See the top 3 pre workouts on the market
No HPN Supplements review would be complete without checking their pre workout.
The P3 Preworkout is another one designed to increase your strength, endurance, focus and hopefully lessen muscle fatigue.
But does it really work?
There is a big list of ingredients in P3 Preworkout, so again:
Let’s have a look at the main ones.
Professional Performance Fusion
By the looks of things.
This is where the power comes from in the powder, giving you a mix of fermented BCAA vegetarian complex, Clintose and Palatinose Isomaltulose.
Strength and Endurance Complex
This part contains beloved creatine monohydrate and Beta-Alanine, both great products for improved performance.
Nutrient Partitioning Matrix
This is where the energy boost comes in.
If you are sensitive to caffeine then I would probably avoid this.
Otherwise it is going to really help you push through your workouts. Pumped with caffeine anhydrous, L-Citrulline, L-Malate and such like.
This product may be helpful, especially if you are serious about making gains, getting leaner, faster, stronger and all of the good stuff.
But if there’s one thing I hate, it’s proprietary blends. That’s because you don’t know the exact amounts of each ingredient is contained in the product.
So I would stay away from this product simply due to the fact it is not clear exactly how much of each ingredient is featured.
There is one more product I want to discuss with you in this HPN Supplements review.
M(6) with AnthOrigin
Let me get straight to the point here.
M6 is designed to support weight loss goals.
How?
By slowing down storage rates of fatty acids on a cellular level.
What does this mean?
It is basically designed to boost your metabolic rate, at the same time decreasing body fat, support lean muscle tissue building and boost your overall energy.
Does that sound too good to be true?
It depends how you look at the situation.
Let’s be honest, most supplements claim to do the same thing, the ones that work can truly do this for you.
Let’s have a look at the main ingredient, AnthOrigin c3G.
Not as technical and ‘sciencey’ as it may sound!
It’s basically taken from the corn husk of purple maize, born and bred in the Sweet USA.
So you know exactly where it is coming from, but does HPN get where YOU are coming from?
HPN Supplements Review – Rundown of Ingredients
There’s no denying that HPN use high quality ingredients and they are open about what their products contain. Just a few of the ingredients they use include:
AnthOrigin C3G Extract
Don’t sweat it.
This basically reduces the amount of fatty acids stored in your system.
Meaning more fat to use as fuel and more reward for your hard work and efforts.
Caffeine Anhydrous
This source of caffeine is strong and it WILL boost your energy levels.
You will see this ingredient in any strong stimulant based pre-workout and my, oh my will it give you a nice kick up the booty.
Always read the label before you take a pre-workout as they can be pretty lethal if you don’t know what to expect.
Approach each one like a virgin, like its your first time.
Guarana Seed Extract
Guarana Seed Extract a fantastic source of energy for you, your mind, and body. 3
Known to possess thermogenic properties to raise your body temperature, meaning more calories burned overall.
Does that mean it can keep you warmer in winter?
Try it and see! Any help you can get with burning extra calories for the same amount of effort is worthwhile.
That seems to be a popular opinion.
Glucoronolactone
It’s a bit of a mouthful to say this one but it can work.
Say it with me.
Gluco-rono-lactone 4
Well done.
Now let’s discuss what it can do!
Glucuronolactone can increase natural energy, endurance ad increase one’s ability to recover after moderate or intense exercise.
That is not an invite from me to go and overtrain.
If your nutrition is in check it can also improve cognitive performance and give you an overall sense of well being.
While not as good as the pa7 Mediator Reviews, we do like it.
Vitamin B12
Most of you have probably heard of this one.
B vitamins are essential micronutrients and play so many vital roles in the body.
Vitamin B12 is important for metabolic function, DNA and the development of red blood cells.
So it helps a lot with energy and transportation of food
Now that we have that out of the way, it’s time to shift focus a little bit.
HDN Supplements Review Conclusion
I’m not going to lie to you.
A lot of people are put off this supplement range because of the sponsored athlete’s past doings.
But then he still has a huge following so that probably has not dented the company reputation too much.
It’s hard to seperate subjective opinion from objective goals sometimes.
I get that.
But if the products work then they work, especially from our pa7 Supplement review.
HPN Supplement reviews can be extremely biased.
But.
I have nothing to lose or gain by being straight with you on this one.
The bottom line is:
Yes these products contain proven ingredients and have positive testimonials online. No doubt they may provide some good results.
However, there are better products out there with a comprehensive list of proven ingredients, rather than just a couple in each product.
It’s like this.
HPN Supplements look good, but not amazing.
The information is out there for you to go and take a look, make up your own mind and then decide if it is right or wrong for you.
