animal test testosterone booster

Animal Test did not make it to the top 10 list of testosterone boosters ; See complete list here

  • Does help to block estrogen
  • Missing all major ingredients to increase testosterone
  • Contains proprietary blends
  • Very expensive

This Animal Test review is the most up to date available! OK, the supplement has been around a long time, but don’t assume you already know everything!

It’s like this.

Deciding which testosterone booster to use is hard work, yeah? Not so many years ago there were only a few on the market, and choice was limited.

But both through the increase in online retail, and sadly some companies looking to make a quick buck, the number of T-boosters available has rocketed. It can be overwhelming.

I know you agree.

Sometimes it seems the easiest thing to do is just go with a name that you know, and forget about the rest. It’s understandable.

But get this.

Warning! Dear Animal Test reader: Click here to see why this booster did NOT make it to the list of Top 10 Test Boosters.

As scientific research has advanced, modern supplement companies have found new and proven ways of making natural and effective testosterone boosters. It’s not all about tradition!

The facts.

Guys taking these supplements have seen their training reach epic levels. Muscle gain is made three to four times faster than normal, energy levels have become supercharged and strength has hit beast-like proportions.

It’s not always the ‘old guard’ that has the secret key!

Here’s the deal.

In this Animal Test review, I will let you know whether it lives up to its reputation. What’s in it, how does it work, and most importantly if it’s effective! By the time you have finished reading, you will at least know whether this is one T-booster you should be considering!

OK, let’s get down to it.

Animal Test Review

animal test review

Just a quick note before we get started in this Animal Test review.

Let me make this clear.

This is not an Animal Stak review. That is an alternative product and works in a completely different manner!

OK, now on with the Animal Test review.

A bit of history.

Animal Test (and all the other ‘Animal’ branded supplements) are manufactured and retailed by the guys at Universal Nutrition. This company has been around for over 30 years and is well respected in the supplement world.

These guys do at least have some pedigree in the supplement market!

Now the product.

Animal Test is a testosterone booster that has also been around for quite a while. Admittedly, its formulation has changed over the years, but it still has the same aim:

To boost testosterone.

Actually, that’s not strictly true.

It might be more accurate to call Animal Test a pro-testosterone supplement instead of a direct testosterone booster. I’ll go into more detail later in this Animal Test review, but for ease of discussion, I will refer to it as a T-booster throughout this review.

Animal Test claims it will:

  • Add muscle
  • Increase strength

That’s it.

Unlike many testosterone boosters, Animal Test markets itself as purely a muscle and strength supplement. No reference to energy, fat loss or libido which are also benefits of improved T-levels.

It’s a supplement designed for guys who want to be totally jacked, powerful, and mean!

So that’s the basics, let’s have a look in this Animal Test Review and see if it is right for you.

Who Should Use Animal Test?

animal test review who should use

This product is designed for guys who:

  • Are looking to improve muscle gain
  • Desire more strength
  • Have hit a plateau in their training results
  • Are committed to working hard in the gym
  • Understand the concept of ‘cycling’ supplements
  • Are over 21 years of age

T-boosters are an incredible way of raising those training results to a whole new level. But only if they work!

Who Should Not Use Animal Test?

It might be an easy assumption to make that if you want to get totally ripped then Animal Test is for you!

But that’s wrong!

I want to make clear in this Animal Test review that it is not for:

  • Bodybuilders under the age of 21 years – Animal Test indicates that beneath this age, these young guys’ hormones are still developing and they should not be pushed out of balance.
  • Newbie bodybuilders – Guys, first learn the equipment, develop a decent workout regime with your trainer, and only then consider supplementation.
  • Careless guys – Animal Test works on a cycling basis, you have to be dedicated to watching you’re ‘on and off’ days.
  • Lazy guys – This supplement is only for the serious gym junkie. If you are expecting to gain muscle and strength whilst eating trash it’s not going to work!

I can’t stress that last point enough.

To reap the benefits of Animal Test, or any T-booster, you have to take a holistic approach.

You must watch your diet. Naturally piling on calories is not good for your physique, but eating junk food can lower testosterone.1

There’s more.

T-boosters are like earning interest in the bank. The more you invest, the bigger the returns.

You have to get off your ass!

Testosterone boosters are amazing, but they are not magic!

How Does Animal Test Work?

animal test review

Remember how earlier in this Animal Test Review I indicated Animal Test was more a pro-testosterone supplement than a testosterone booster?

Let me explain.

Unlike many T-boosters, Animal Test does not directly target increasing your body’s production of testosterone.

Instead, it focuses on the female hormone estrogen and looks to free up the ‘bound’ testosterone already in your body.

Here’s the detail.

Increases Free Testosterone

You already have a lot of testosterone surging around that body.

Problem is, most of it cannot be used.

Around 2% of your total testosterone is ‘free’. That is, it’s available to do the important job of building muscle and raising strength levels.

And the rest?

About 60% is bound to sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG) and the remainder tied to albumin.

The testosterone tied to albumin can be used, like the free testosterone. But the 60% bound to SHBG has basically locked away and cannot be utilized.

Animal Test claims to free up this SHBG bound testosterone, thus making more testosterone available for use, or usually termed ‘bio-available’.

Inhibits Aromatase

We require a certain amount of the hormone estrogen in our bodies. It’s essential for healthy bones and brain function.3

But there’s an issue.

Too much of this hormone can lead to fat gain, loss of libido, muscle loss and falling energy levels.

What’s more the body converts testosterone into estrogen through an enzyme called aromatase.4

Animal Test claims it can inhibit aromatase from making this conversion, meaning testosterone levels remain stable and estrogen is not increased.

Blocks Estrogen

Animal Test claims that some of its ingredients bind to estrogen receptors, thus in effect ‘blocking’ them.

The less estrogen that is bound to hormone receptors – the more muscle that can be built.5

As you can see, Animal Test is not about raising testosterone production, it is aimed to free up testosterone already present, prevent creation of estrogen from testosterone, and block any estrogen in the body.

animal test ingredients

No Animal Test review would be complete without seeing the ingredients behind the claims!

But first, a warning.

The ingredients provided by Animal Test are part of two ‘proprietary blends’. Whilst these may contain active compounds, there’s an issue.

It’s this.

There is no possible way of examining how much of each ingredient is included.

Which means.

As quantity cannot be seen, quality and efficacy cannot be assessed. There may not be enough of each ingredient to have a positive effect.

Here we go.

Pro-Androgen Complex

Urtica Dioica

This extract from stinging nettles has been proven to inhibit the function of aromatase and prevent prostate enlargement.6

Cissus Quadrangularis

Promotes healthy joints and bones, essential for the bodybuilder.7

There is some suggestion that it may inhibit the production of cortisol, which can lead to a catabolic state (muscle loss), but there’s a lack of any real evidence.

It has no effect on testosterone.

Polygonum Cuspidatum (trans-3,5,4’-trihydroxystilbene (trans resveratrol))

This ingredient prevents estrogen from adhering to hormone receptors by blocking them.8

The result.

‘Female’ traits and gyno problems are not encountered.

Agaricus Bisporus and Hesperetin (3’,5,7-trihydroxy-4’-methoxyflavone)

Both of these polysaccharides are said to prevent aromatase from responding to any free testosterone that has been created.

Which means.

Any increase in testosterone is not counteracted by conversion into estrogen.9

Yohimbe Bark Extract

Boosts energy and can lead to fat loss. There is also some evidence that it can help alleviate erectile dysfunction. 10

Just a couple of facts.

It has no proven boosting effect on testosterone but has been associated with quite a few side effects.

Hypertrophic Response Complex

Arachidonic Acid

This fatty acid has been proven to reduce inflammation after pushing those muscles hard.11

It does not affect testosterone.

Grapefruit (6 7-dihydroxybergamottin)

Improves the bioavailability of the other compounds in this complex. Also known as the ‘grapefruit effect’. 12

This means that the ingredients are not blocked by enzymes, but utilized to their best advantage.

Piper Nigrum

Basically black pepper!

This ingredient has a thermogenic effect, that is it raises the internal temperature of the body.

As this happens, the metabolism is working in overdrive and requires more calories to function.

The result.

Fat is burnt.13

Overall, the ingredients are average.

The majority do have some estrogen inhibiting or free testosterone releasing effects that are proven. Which is good.

As I have already said in this Animal Test review, the quantities of each ingredient are not listed, so it’s impossible to tell if it’s a worthwhile formulation.

What’s more, there are no testosterone boosters. It’s all about controlling estrogen.

Let me give you some advice.

If you are looking for a seriously powerful T-booster that not only controls estrogen but also will rocket those T-levels, these are the ingredients you should be looking for.

I have indicated how Animal Test compares.

  • ✘D-aspartic acid
  • ✘Vitamin D-3
  • ✘Fenugreek
  • ✘Zinc
  • ✘Vitamin B6
  • ✘Vitamin B2
  • ✘Selenium
  • ✘Vitamin B5
  • ✘Ginseng
  • ✘Boron
  • Bioperine

It’s obvious that Animal Test is not a direct T-booster. As I mentioned earlier in this Animal Test review it’s more a pro-testosterone supplement.

Get this.

Animal also produces another product called Animal Stak. If you did an Animal Test vs Animal Stak comparison, you would discover that some of these powerful ingredients are included.

But why take two supplements when the best T-boosters on the market have them all in one capsule!

Side Effects

animal test side effects

To ensure this Animal Test review was entirely accurate, I searched for any Animal Test booster side effects related to using the supplement.

There were a few minor ones reported which included:

  • Stomach cramps
  • Diarrhea
  • Lethargy
  • Headaches
  • Dizziness
  • Elevated blood pressure
  • Increased urination

Many of these are symptomatic reactions to the ingredient Yohimbe. As the dosage is not quantified in the formulation, just be careful.14

Naturally, if you do succumb to any Universal Nutrition Animal Test side effects, cease use immediately and consult your health practitioner.

Animal Test Before After Results

As I could not find any genuine before and after images for this Animal Test review, I scoured forums and reviews to discover what kind of results guys are getting from this supplement.

This is what customers have found:

Did not see any difference or significant increases in my physique or performance”

-Austin Pearson

“This has given me the edge I needed to perform better athletically

-Keith Bailey

Saw no results and felt no different…this one did nothing for me! don’t waste your time!

“This made me sick as a dog. Two different days of horrible cramping and projectile vomiting.

1 cycle down and I have fully developed calf muscles and the upper thigh muscle is coming together nicely”

-Johnnie Johnson

Overall, the results are pretty much 50/50. Some guys have made gains, others have seen no effect or just felt ill.

The results are generally average.

Where to Buy Animal Test?

Animal Test is only available from the official Animal website.

animal test review the side effects revealed

Our #1 recommendation is TestoFierce. Click here to read our Testofierce Review

Animal Test has been around for a good few years now, and many guys know this product by name.

On the plus side, it does contain proven estrogen inhibitors and ingredients to free bound testosterone.

As all the ingredients are piled together in their ‘proprietary mix’ it is impossible to see if they are insufficient quantities to have any effect. This is reflected in the less than impressive customer reviews.

Now the negative.

To be honest, even if its ingredients are effective, they will not boost testosterone. Yes, they may free up some of the bound hormones, but will not stimulate the body into producing anymore.

Here’s the bottom line.

There are some amazing T-boosters on the market that can have all the claimed effects of Animal Test, whilst also rocketing that testosterone production into massive overdrive!

My advice.

Look for a serious T-booster with the testosterone boosting ingredients included above. You will see the results fast! Muscle will pile on, fat will be shed and you will hit total beast mode!

Why leave anything to chance? Hit it all!
