If you are ever stuck in the gym and it seems like your are making little or no progress week after week you are probably stuck at a plateau. It happens to all of us at some point in our journey to become stronger and bigger. There are countless ways to break through plateaus and continue to make solid gains each week. In this article we will discuss 7 unconventional ways you might want to try out if you are stuck at a plateau.

Bench Every time you workout

You might think it’s crazy but I can guarantee from personal experience that it works wonders. I would recommend doing a 7×7 before every workout in the bench. It will be hard the first week but your body will adapt. When I see bench every week I am not saying you should not do anything else in the gym. If you are doing legs just do the 7×7 in the bench and then continue on doing your leg workout.

Take a 1 week rest from training and dieting

Eat whatever you want, play video games just don’t think about the gym for one week. No you won’t lose all your gains in one week, I promise you that you will return stronger and more motivated to the gym than ever after taking a break for one week.

Supplement with creatine

Creatine is one of the most legit supplements out there and will help you get that extra energy to push through the last few reps. It is no secret that is worked and many athletes and bodybuilders use it for its proven energy boost while lifting heavy weights.

Start doing a powerlifting program

Try it out for a few weeks, increase your strength and after that start doing the usual bodybuilding stuff again. Train twice a day just do your normal workouts and go through them faster and more often. You will be amazed how the human body can adopt to almost anything. You will have to eat much more food though and it will be hard. But it’s all worth it.

High intensity cardio is good for muscle building and staying lean. It’s a great way to stay shredded and having a good cardiovascular health. You can start of by doing 10 sprints and do each sprint for 1 minute at the time and resting 1 minute in between sprints.
