Re: What is cardio?, What are the best Cardio exercises?
I like doing sprints with HIIT for 20 minutes.
Or doing the Kenpo X on P90x when I feel like mixing it up/punching the air.

Re: What is cardio?, What are the best Cardio exercises?
I have a pretty nice sized hill next to my house. I sometimes do sprints up it if I am crunched for time or don't feel like hitting the gym.

Re: What is cardio?, What are the best Cardio exercises?
I think I'm going to start adding in cardio again for my cut. Give me something to do on my off days.

Re: What is cardio?, What are the best Cardio exercises?
Best cardio I've ever done are max effort HIIT hill sprints. 15-20 minutes of this 3 days per week and you will have destroyed so many calories it is ridiculous.

Not dangerous lol. I would wake up and do them in a fasted state pre-breakfast, usually with nothing but BCAAs in me. It was a great way to work up an appetite, I was always ravenous when I finished. Fixed that with 6 eggs, 8 pieces of turkey bacon, 2 whole wheat toast, and a raspberry/blueberry/pomegranate protein shake. RAWR.

I like the elliptical, typically if I do any cardio in the gym it will be on a bicycle though. I also do some biking for fun in the mountain trails, and I sometimes ride my bicycle to work/school depending on the weather (heat).
I spent over 6 years boxing, and I became best friends with the jump rope as well. Also some box jumping is very nice, I often superset them with squats or SLDL. Very nice cardio/weight lifting combination there.

Re: What is cardio?, What are the best Cardio exercises?
I do HIIT sprints on an elliptical, very smooth on the joints and easy to transition from interval to interval. Also do the stairmaster for a few, and incline treadmill for some slow paced cardio before workouts. Gotta keep the heart healthy too.
