Default BMR Calculator / Caloric Intake

Quick question:
I'm interested in how people's caloric intake matches up with their supposed BMRs based on some of the formulas out there. I cant help but feel like my caloric intake has to be WAY under my theorized BMR to lose any bf%. I'd be interested to see how others LBM stacks up with their caloric intake.

The calculators at IIFYM.com are pretty accurate.
The reason you are confused is that you are doing it wrong.
Your BMR is how many calories you burn at rest; while sleeping.
To figure out how many calories you need to eat to lose weight, you need to go off of your adjusted BMR which is your TDEE.

TDEE = BMR + Calories burned through daily activity

I use the TDEE calculator and it matches up with my bodybugg pretty accurately..

Subtract your 500-700 calories off of your TDEE and you will be golden.

It's hard to just go off of a calculation and say that's your BMR or TDEE. Everyone is different and the formulas that are out there are pretty general. You have to based it off of how much food you've been eating consistently compared to how much you're working out. If you get someone that's doing a 500 calorie diet for a really long time, their metabolism will be suppressed so badly that it would be hard to lose. The only way to go is up. If you took that person and used those calculations then it wouldn't be very accurate and that person would blow up pretty quickly. You'd have to increase food slowly and start a rebuiding process that could take months. That's why I personally don't like using those when figuring out someones macros. That's just my two cents.

Eh. going off of LBM can be quite troublesome. Best idea is to perhaps go off a calculator temporarily to get an idea of cals to consume, then based on your goals, either increase cals or gradually decrease them. Of course other factors come into this as well. - mario

and Dawn has a website? Is it bangbros? lol
